At Tino’s koi pond & consulting, we are passionate about the koi pond hobby and have been for over 35 years. We started as a Japanese garden designer and project manger, helping new koi Hobbyist around the Bay Area.
We offer a wide range of koi pond supplies, including , filters, filter media, and more. Our products are carefully selected to ensure the best quality for our customers. We provide consultation in person or over video for any koi pond design or updates.
Shipping Details
• Koi and Goldfish: These are shipped via UPS Next Day Air®, UPS Next Day Early®, or SouthWest Air Cargo to ensure their safe arrival.
• Koi Products (e.g., koi food, pond supplies): Most orders are shipped the next business day, except when ordered on weekends or holidays. We typically use UPS Ground shipping for these items as it is the most economical option unless you request a different shipping method.
All orders must be prepaid by credit card.

You can identify the gender of koi by looking at their body shape, vent, and fins, and by observing their behavior. Mature females are typically larger, rounder, and have a softer, wider vent, while males are slimmer, more streamlined, and have a narrower, more pointed vent. During breeding season, males may also develop small white bumps called tubercles on their heads and fins.
